Race Postponed AGAIN...
The race will not be held on August 22nd. We just received word from the city that the water has not receded enough and when it does they will need to do some major clean up to reopen that part of the trail. We are currently working with city to reschedule the event. Please check back to see the most update information.

Race Postponed to August 22, 2015
Due to the enormous amount of rain last month, which has caused Lake Lewisville to swell beyond its normal shoreline and flood part of the 5K course, we are postponing the date of our event Mercury Rising 5K & Fun Run. The new date will be August 22, 2015.
We are not giving refunds, however you may transfer your registration to someone else at no additional cost. If you do decide to transfer your registration, please do so prior to August 1st. This will insure that everything is taking care of in time. In order to do so please contact us at mercuryrising5k@yahoo.com.

The Mercury Rising 5K & Fun Run, is a first time fundraiser for several FC Dallas girls youth teams. Our goal is to make this an annual event allowing several teams to generate team funds to assist in fees for tournaments, travel and equipment. Every year families chose to play the wonderful game of soccer through the quality program provided by FC Dallas. The fees by the end of the year can be several thousand dollars per player once uniforms, dues, travel and fees are paid. This can be challenging for the families therefore we seek to create a method of fundraising that can assist with these costs. We chose to do a run because soccer players are athletes so it just made sense to add fitness as a great way to generate the funds while doing something players enjoy. People from all walks of life enjoy running in 5Ks, so instead of just asking people to buy something we are offering them something in return
